Visit thatcar.nz and enter the plate number or VIN of the vehicle. You’ll get a basic report to make sure you are checking the correct vehicle.
Proceed to the report purchase. The report will be prepared straight away after the payment. Usually it’s ready to be displayed on your screen in less than 30 seconds.
Our system will search for registered security interests using the current plate number, the past plate numbers (e.g. if the plates have been replaced by the owner), the VIN and the chassis number. If the search returns a financing statement indicating an existing registered debt, you’ll see a warning and get a further explanation.
